Refund Options for Osage Creek Ticket Holders

Osage Creek Amphitheater has announced a full refund will be available to Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown ticket holders. The concert has been canceled because of weather-related construction delays.

People who purchased tickets can go to the following site to get their full refunds:

They say there is another option. For those who want to wait, Osage Creek is working to schedule Willie Nelson to perform at a later date. Folks can hold on to their tickets and they’ll get you in to that specific re-scheduled performance. They do clarify the tickets won’t work at any other event.

Severe weather events have caused delays. Progress continues daily at the venue site. We have determined that the facility will not be ready to host the concert previously scheduled for July 3.

The July 3 opening event has been canceled. Osage Creek Amphitheater is working with the Country Throwdown artists to find a suitable date for rescheduling. Additional details will be posted here. Check back here on osagecreeklive.com for construction updates and concert announcements.

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. — The Osage Creek amphitheater is still under construction, but the buzz around the facility is swirling.

Thursday, the only sound coming from the Osage Creek amphitheater was the noise of construction, but that will soon change.

“It’s been in the process of planning for the last 10 years, and about a year ago we got the right architect planned down and agreed this is what we’re going to move forward with. As you can see behind me, the steel’s coming up, the seats are almost ready to be installed, and, you know, Mother Nature has been messing with us a little bit. I can feel the rain drops as we speak, but we’re pushing to be open on time,” said Osage Creek Amphitheater owner Gregory Smith.

Heavy snowfall and the recent rains have slowed progress, but Smith said doors will open July 3 for “Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown.”

Smith said every seat in the house will have a spectacular view of what is happening on stage, from box seats to bleachers. He said he wants this to be a great place for both artists and the audience.

“I know in my heart it’s the right thing for our area and I have put my heart and soul into this project,” said Smith.

The outdoor concert venue will be among the largest in Northwest Arkansas, accommodating up to 15,000 people.

“This place is going to be a jewel for our area, and I look forward to getting the doors open,” said Smith.

New Arkansas Shed

Artists hitting the road this summer will have a new tour stop available with the opening of the 12,000-capacity Osage Creek Amphitheater in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Owner Greg Smith told Pollstar the state-of-the-art, $8 million project currently under construction will give concertgoers an alternative that previously didn’t exist.

“There’s nothing like this between Kansas City, Dallas, Oklahoma City and Memphis,” Smith said. “There’s a couple of smaller venues [and] the one where Rocklahoma is held over in Pryor, Okla., but it’s pretty much a stage in a field. We’re going to be an intimate setting in a bowl.”

Osage’s construction on part of about 600 acres of farmland Smith owns in northwest Arkansas is something he has been planning for about a decade.

The project, which broke ground in November, features 5,000 fixed seats and lawn seating for up to 12,000 with a stage that is 120 feet wide and 90 feet deep.

“This stage, you can back 10 semis up to it at one time for load-in and load-out,” Smith said. “Our thought was to make it artist and roadie-friendly.”

“We’re also approved for festivals, so we can do multiple stages if we need to.”

The nearest major venue is the 19,199-capacity BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla., about 100 miles away. The 2,400-capacity Arkansas Music Pavilion, known as the AMP, in Fayetteville attracts national artists but in a different setting, Smith said.

“One other thing about our area, we’re in the backyard of Walmart and its home office [in Bentonville] and it’s a very und er-served market,” he said. “There’s all this young blood that’s come to work with the local vendors and they don’t have anywhere to see a show.”

Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown July 3 will kick off the shed’s first outdoor concert season, which will run from April through October. More concert dates will be announced in the near future.
